[PIC] Duke graffiti

Duke very much like this picture that Yumi Marvelous make of Duke! Of course Duke is already very handsome in picture (which Yumi take from DukeCam), but crown and mustache give Duke certain kingly air, you not think? And eyebrows make Duke look like he thinking hard. Maybe about world peace. And also about dinner, because Duke is excellent multi-tasker.

Duke is famous! He appear in newspaper! Thank you to Hedirman for write such nice story on Duke.

Duke amused to be considered as National Online Cat. Will work hard in new role! Make big smile like pageant winner and say nice thing, like "save stray kitty cat!". Is hard work, but Duke can manage.

[BLOG] Duke as performance artist

Today, minion very bold, ask Duke, "Duke, are you amazed by the followers you've gotten in the recent weeks? Considering you do nothing but sleep all day, is all this attention surprising to you?"

Duke sometimes think this minion beyond hope. She think Duke lazy and sleep all time? Duke think must explain everything to minion.

Dear Minion, when you see Duke lie down and close eyes, is because Duke is engage in performance call "Sleep". "Sleep" performance is very demanding, is ask for TOTAL dedication to craft. When you think Duke is dead to world, is Duke finest moment as performance artist. You think is easy to be limp and motionless? Not move and meditatively ignore Office Folk who giggle and try to distract Duke from performance with poking, chin-skritching and ear-folding?

So much detail go into "Sleep". Rhythmic breathing have to be convincing. Paw throw over face is calculated move. And small shift-of-position make performance believable. And Duke NEVER break out of character even when he "wake up". Sometimes employ jaw-cracking yawn and head-to-tail shiver. Or nonchalant grooming. It is mark of true performance artist.

So please, you not downplay Duke acting prowess. Maybe you not understand sublimity of Duke talent, but numbers on DukeCam not lie.

[PICS] Duke typical day at work

This is Duke typical day at work in capacity as Office Cat. Park self between keyboard and Office Folk to prevent them work too hard. Submit to chin skritches, petting and occasional Office Folk lying on Duke like pillow. Yes, it hard work. But Duke feel is worth it when see manic muppet smile on Office Folk face (see last pic).

[BLOG] Story of Duke accident

This afternoon, while Duke use office-chair as scratching post, his leg get caught. And then Duke fall down and hang upside-down! Duke try to gain purchase, but cannot reach ground, and leg was bent backward. Duke say, help help help! But no-one help until Duke say HELP HELP HELP HEEEEEEELP! And then office folk come save him.

After that Duke feel he need some quiet time, take some moments to settle his over-beating heart and nurse his hurt leg. Office folk very worried that maybe he dislocate leg, because Duke walk like he cannot put weight on it. But after one hour of R&R and many sayang, Duke feel much better! He jump about and walk around with no problem and office folk all heave BIG sigh of relief. Duke feel lucky he not have to go to vet!

First picture is of crime scene. DUKE HEAR OMINOUS MUSIC.

In bottom of second picture (at crime-scene marker number 4), you can see close-up of place where Duke leg get jam between metal arm and seat cushion. Can even see where Duke fur got rubbed off! EVIL CHAIR!

Third picture show sad Duke, where Duke make small, poor thing noises. Office folk put him in carrier so he not walk around and let his leg rest. Also, office folk was try to make vet appointment and not want him to run away in case have to rush out to bring Duke see doctor.
